Australias Vanishing Frogs

Take the family on an eco-camping weekend at Watagan National Park to help Earthwatch scientists find clues to frogs’ worldwide decline.

In the past 20 years, nine native frog species have become extinct and another 42 are in trouble.

To help solve this mystery, Dr Michael Mahony, from the University of Newcastle, and his team are surveying New South Wales' rich rainforests for frogs and they need your help.

Working primarily at night, when frogs are most active, you'll walk in and around streams and creeks using a spotlight and head-torch to find and catch frogs. You are also sure to see an array on interesting creatures on your night time forays.

Minimum age is 10 and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
